Dear Parents,

I want to let you know some ART NEWS:

There are many things happening in art right now. Here is a summary of what is happening:

1. Grades are due for the 6 weeks on Friday of this week. Your child’s grade, as of Monday, will be sent home on Tuesday.
2. All artwork has been put on a website called Artsonia.com You can view your child’s artwork, order it on a t-shirt or mug-they make great Christmas gifts. Every child has a code so that you can access comments made and you will receive notification on new artwork when it is posted. Their code is being sent home on Tuesday as well.
3. We are going on a FIELD TRIP to the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston on November 1^st, but the money for the trip is due by THIS FRIDAY –September 30, 2011. ($18 for the trip, $24 for the trip and an audio tape while they walk through).The exhibit is the King Tut exhibit from Egypt-it is an awesome experience! There is a permission slip that HAS to be signed and returned whether your child is going or not on the trip. Money has to be turned in a month in advance, so I need final counts BY THIS FRIDAY PLEASE!  If you turned in a parent chaperone form, they have been sent to administration and we are waiting the list of approved parents. If you were considering chaperoning, but have not turned in your 3 pages of forms, I am sorry, but we have enough parents signed up.
4. Most of the students have also turned in their $25 art fee for the semester, but a few have not. This is listed in the letter you will receive on Tuesday, 9/27/11.

Please ask your child for any forms they are missing.
