Kinder: We continuing our work on learning new Nursery Rhymes. The children have all started checking out books by now. Please remember to send your child's library book back to school on his/her library day.
1st: We now have AR levels for all students. Students have been taught how to find a book on their AR level. Please have your child read their library book at least two times. Send a note to the teacher when this is completed, so that they may take an AR test on that library book.
2nd : All 2nd graders are checking out two library books each. Both of these books should be on their AR level. Please have them read at least twenty minutes a night. Remind your child to take an AR test on his/her book when they have finished reading it.
3rd and 4th: All 3rd and 4th graders are checking out two books a piece. The books will be on your child's reading level. They should read them at home and then take a test on them at school. 3rd and 4th graders are also working towards reading Bluebonnet books by January 27th. They are ALSO working towards making their Reading Team goals (your child can tell you more about this).
Parents please remember that there is a parent portal to the AR program! You can have access to your child's reading record from any computer! You can also sign-up for up to the minute emails on each test your child takes during the school day!
