What's Going on in Computer Lab?
Right now students are working with two new programs: Study Island and FAST Math. You can check out Study Island by having your child use it at home. They know their username and password. FAST Math is something I am very excited about. It helps students to learn their facts by memory and tracks their progress as they go. The kids love using it too!

COWS...
The computer lab is now home to a mobile lab comprised of 24 Dell laptops. Thanks to our COWS (Computers on Wheels) teachers are able to bring the benefits of the lab to their homerooms.

Helping Your Child Succeed...
If you have internet access at home and would like some suggestions on educational websites for your student, please email aurbanek@brazosportisd.net. I would be happy to help you, just please include the grade level of your child so I can make the suggestion age appropriate. I would also be more than happy to meet with you and show you some of the online resources you can use to help your child be successful with math and reading. We are a team and the success of your child is important to both of us!

Change Drive
Right now I am doing a change drive for our school. I want to raise money to put umbrellas over the picnic tables. I know parents love to bring their students out to have lunch with them and it is SO hot sometimes! Please allow your child to bring spare change and place it in the donation jars outside the front office. Grade levels will be competing to see who can raise the most. The winning grade level will be rewarded with a week of free time in all specials classes plus a free choice day in Computer Lab.
