Texas schools have been the center of communities and they should continue to be the focal point. It should be excellent and a source of pride to our community.”

My grandmother graduated from Freeport High School in the 40's. My family is from here… I have a vested interest in BISD. The Brazosport area is a great place to live, work, and rear a family."

Mr. Matt Williams was appointed to the board in December and was officially sworn in to office on January 3, 2012. He has lived in BISD for over five decades. "This is where I grew up... [BISD is] a great place to raise a family," Williams boasts.

He and his wife of thirty years, Teresa, have three children –ages 26, 21 and 18. Their children went through BISD, but the year of their graduations were inferior according to the slogan of Matt Williams’ senior class: "We're the best Bucs under heaven, we're the seniors '77!"

This education is the cornerstone from which [all BISD students] will build a lifetime of achievements and success." We thank you, Matt Williams for being an integral part of this "cornerstone."
